O Baleeiro - (The Whaler)
During my first trip to the Azorean Islands, I walked with my mother through my father's village and found a relic of the island's history in whaling. I was surprised to discover that my ancestors where part of that industry. This painting is now a sincere tribute to their bravery. This will be the first in a series of works dedicated to my Portuguese roots.
